Stop Crying and Get People to Like You

This is not a political article; You should all stop fussing all day. Well, many of you are complaining about “X this, X that,” Your success in life has nothing to do with ANY politician. Yes, even if Hilary Duff was the president, you probably will still be discontented.

I did some research, talked to people along the street and asked them if most of their personal posts in their Newsfeed from their ‘friends’ and NOT including Facebook Pages, are negative?

Some people told me something like “I’m picking my Facebook friends very carefully, so probably only 30%”. So we started counting 100 posts on their Newsfeed and on average, around 77% of their Newsfeed was negative.

You’re an Adult? Stop Crying All Day

I was reading “How to Get Out of the Cycle of Outrage In a Trump World” article by Arianna Huffington, who wrote, “Any president’s actions have real consequences in real people’s lives.”

Seriously? What about people’s actions? Do they have unreal consequences in real people’s lives? Or just unreal consequences in unreal people’s lives?

Billionaires and the Presidents

To “prove” my point, I took a look at the “Forbes 400”,The List Of The Richest People In the US, and checked what year they founded their company, and who was the president.

The Result: Tie, 7 Republican, 7 Democratic.

I took the data of the Top 20 People; they made their wealth from 14 different companies (“Source of wealth”). The Result: Tie, 7 Republican, 7 Democratic.

I see no pattern, and if you read their biographies, none of them think that they made a change in this world because of any president or politician.

Odds of Being the President

Now, the chances of becoming The President are 1 in 10 million.

What are the odds that you exist? The likelihood of becoming a human being is 1 in 400,000,000,000,000,000 (1 in four hundred trillion).

If you consider that the odds need to happen every generation, the probability of your existence comes out at about 1 in 10(Exponentiation)2,685,000 = 10 followed by 2,685,000 zeros.

So the odds of becoming a human being: 1 in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000

You are all trying to blame the president, your teachers, your family or the authors of the books you read. If your life sucks, it is your fault and no one should be held responsible for this apart from you.

You are LUCKY to exist as a human being, and all that you do is post all day about how everything in your life sucks, then you are going to have a beer and laugh with your friends for like 7 hours (and of course, you probably will not post that part of your day).

You think it is cool to complain all day? It is not, and that is why your life is a compilation of complaints and your dreams are only dreams.

My grandfather from my mom’s side had been imprisoned in Iraq for being an immigrant. He died before I was born. My father’s grandfather fought in World War I, because of his immigrant status.

I grew up in one of the toughest neighborhoods at the age of three, gang members tried to stab me several times, and later on, I was kidnapped by thugs. Am I posting about it all day long? No. Most immigrants I know are saying “Yo, I don’t give a F*** about any president, we’re hustling, and taking care our families as we should.”

77% of the U.S. population consists of whites (over 250,000,000 people), and they still complain.

Why You Are Lucky to Live in 2017

Did you know, that in the 70’s or early 80’s, you had to be a multi-millionaire just to access the services that we do nowadays on our smart phones?

You. Are. Lucky.

I just selected a few random smartphone features and checked their prices; those eight features only would have cost you over $17,000,000.

If you use a CPI Inflation Calculator, it would have probably been over $50,000,000 in 2017 and that is only a few random features.

$17,000,000. Cost of (some of) your smartphone features in the 70's-80's

If you do not want to live on food stamps then I suggest you use the tools you got in 2017.

Now, do we even need a president? Probably not. Do the UK citizens need the Queen and the King? I do not know. What I do know is that we give too much credit to the President. Here are three things the President cannot do (and there is lot more).

What The President Can Not Do

1. Formally Declare War — Based on the constitution, the President doesn’t have the power to declare war. Only the Congress can declare war. (Though the President must sign the Declaration). The last time the US has declared war was in December 1941.

2. Alter the Constitution — The US constitution can be changed via a Constitutional Amendment only.

3. Change the Federal Tax Code — Any reforms on the Tax Code must go through Congress.

What YOU Can Do

So many startups are doing much more (and better) than any President ever made them do — In Healthcare, Terrorism Prevention, Economics, Finance, and so much more.

The question is: What are you going to do? Because, all of you that crying today, been crying before. How many of you said, “X has elected, I’m moving to Canada!”. How many of you actually moved to Canada?

So instead of talking and not doing nothing, start doing. Not talking. Not trying. Just doing. So first do, and then go on social media and told us what you’ve done and how can we learn from it (Maybe the 0.1% who actually moved to Canada, can tell us how their life changed).

Attention

Back in the 70’s and 80’s, there was the NBC, CNN, HBO, CBS, ABC, FOX, etc. Back in the day, to get people’s attention on a big scale, you had to be very powerful and influential like the President (Or at least a millionaire, or celebrity). Telecommunications/Mass, media corporations controlled those channels, and YOU had no control or very little way to get attention.

Today, there are social media platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Medium, LinkedIn, etc. You got the control.

By reading or watching some videos, you can learn how to reveal yourself to thousands (or even millions) of people. You can work in McDonald’s and spend part of your salary on Facebook or Google Ads and actually get so many people to hear and watch and listen to your voice.

Capital -

Why actually work at McDonalds? Here are a three ways to make money from your phone or computer, right now:

1. Sell your things on eBay/Amazon/Etsy — Sell things you don’t use, or buy/find things for X and sell them for 7X.

2. Learn How to found Blogs/Websites/Online Stores for freelancers or businesses -

There are free courses you can learn Word press/ Joomla/Drupal basics (from 2 hours to 2 days). Then Go on Fiverr or UpWork (Or your local groups on Facebook). People are paying $500 to $5000 for this kind of services. Maybe you’ll start charging less, still much more than $7 an hour minimum wage.

3. Write — The demand for writers is enormous in 2017. I see people in India, Russia, Middle East — writes (in English) and getting between $10 to $250 and hour. Some of them sending the text to other freelancers for editing/ proofreading (I Also pay freelancers for that kind of services). So if you’re a native English speaker, you got even more options (and it will be easier to market yourself).
